UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. 'Aureus' (Gold, 21 mm, 3.74 g, 12 h), 'Derived Gordian Group B'. KOCTS KΛMSCK Laureate and draped imperial bust to right, seen from behind. Rev. KTSO Γ SNO Mars advancing right, holding spear in his right hand and shield in his left. CNG 90 (2012), 1982 (same dies). A beautiful piece struck on a very broad flan. Original suspension loop broken off and holed instead, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
